The young plants and the ASTONI, are cultivated open field in order to produce mainly specimen trees but also bushes. After several vegetaion cycles , during which the plants can undergo several transplantations, they are ready to be sold bare root or more frequently root ball. These plants can be of medium size but also “exemplar trees” (pronto effetto,) that is of very big size.
However, in order to be able to sell our plants in any time of the year and to offer better guarantee of taking root, more and more often we use the technique of putting the root ball plants in a pot with the addition of artificial soil for further cultivation.
